Maytag Washer Latch, Catch, Lock Parts

In the past we’ve fixed the latch with just high speed great. This time we ordered a new latch and replaced it. Washing machine has been working perfectly ever since. New inner drum and front and rear outer drum; although other parts worked, still replaced the bellow and clamp, new door latch, and cleaned the hoses. Washer works great. Just like brand new. Even though matching dryer works, I am going to clean it up and replace some parts on it also. Read more

I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. Replaced the lock switch and holder. Took under 5 minutes. Best money spend without need to replace machine. Read more

Remove the 3 screws from the back of the top cover Pull backward about 2 inches and lift the top off Reach in and disconnect the the door latch wiring Remove the 2 screws that hold the latch to the door frame Pop the latch loose from the plastic holder on the right side by pushing it forward Replace the switch with the new one and repeat each step in reverse Read more

I cut off the vandalised Lock-Cam with a reciprocating saw. The new Lock-Cam slipped into place easily. Read more
