The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. Removed back panel in freezer compartment. Held on by four hex head screws. Disconnected wire assembly from panel and then replaced evaporator fan motor on kitchen table. Evaporator fan motor is attached to back side of freezer panel by four hex head screws. Easy repair to do.It took me about 30 minutes to do the repair. Read more

I vacuumed up the dust/lint accumulation outside and then inside the vent system. I then opened the lower cabinet to clean and check its condition. I removed the water steamer bottle and its sub-assembly and then the drum. The delivery of the element was superfast, less than 24 hrs. Unplug the Stove from the receptical! Took a phippips screwdriver and took out the 2 screws holding it, and tilted it upwards a bit and pulled the element out about 3 inches an unhooked the wires. Hooked the wires up to the new element and pushed it back into the holes and put the 2 screws back in and turned the stove on and that was all there was to that. Read more

Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. Everything works great, but my Jenn-Air stove is more than 15 years old and really needed a face lift. To replace it will cost about $3000.00 to replace, to replace missing and old parts around $500.00. The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. I am happy to say all the parts fit perfectly, and I couldn't find a better price anywhere else. I will definitely keep you on file for the next time I need appliance parts! Thank you!
