• Freezer not defrosting

I took the bottom tray out of the freezer and found the coils iced up severely. I was reasonably sure the defrost timer was the problem and your tech said that was a good possibility. Ordered and replaced timer. (15 minutes) Problem fixed!!! Saved purchasing a new fridge at big bucks. We live over 40 miles from a service center so the cost of having a tech come out is astronomical. Thanks!!! Read more

Acualy sounded and looked major but with a littel help with you tube the job only took 30 minutes. 3 bolts for the water pump pulley broken pulley poped off new one klick into place simple belt install good to go. Parts saved me $40 and where here in only 2 days. I couldnt be happyer. Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

I took the dryer apart.....first had to clean out all the lint here and there. Took the drum out, inspected the belt and back support wheels. They seemed to be fine. In the front the drum turns on two supports that have a Teflon glide. Those two glides had been worn off with their pad so metal was rubbing against metal. I had to take out the bottom drawer that holds pans. Disconnect the power and pull the oven out. Removed door, rear panel that held the screws for the side panel and lift up and out the side panel. After that it was straight forward as to replacing the hinge. Spent more time cleaning the florr where the oven was than installing the hinge. Read more

Found the right part at AppliancePartsPros.com, ordered the part, watched the tutorial. Took less than 5 minutes to install new door seal, and now our laundry area is no longer hot and humid. The timer knob simply pulls off the shaft with a solid, steady pull. Cleaned the timer cavity of lint/dust buildup. Aligned the keying flat of the shaft and knob and pushed the new knob on with careful, steady pressure until it was obviously seated. No tools required other than a vacuum. The door switch would sometimes not shut the dryer off when the door was opened. New switch came with new fast-on connectors. Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. • Will not dispense detergent

I found the videos on dishwasher repair that AppliancePartsPros offers and determined the likely cause of the problem. I removed the door cover and found soap caked on the back. I cleaned the cover and switched the wax motors to see if the clean rinse motor was good and ran a tested cycle. No improvement. I ordered two new wax motors for the Maytag dishwasher and those arrived in a few days from AppliancePartsPros. I replaced the old motors and ran a test cycle. The soap tray opened correctly.... Blower wheel and clamp replacement. Initially, we replaced both the belt and drum roller wheels but that did not stop the noise. By reviewing videos on YouTube and AppliancePartsPros, we suspected that the blower wheel could be problematic, even though with front panel of dryer off, we did not see any visual clues to support that theory. After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. Not having the necessary tools to check those two I ordered both parts.
