This dishwasher control module assembly is the appliance's electronic brain, directing cycle timing and power to the motor, pumps, water valve, and heater. Replace it to restore proper operation when cycles won't start, advance, or the controls are unresponsive.

  • Manages cycle timing and coordinates wash, rinse, drain, and dry operations
  • Distributes power to key components based on inputs from the user interface and sensors
  • Helps resolve issues such as no start/no response, cycles that won't advance or complete, or recurring error codes/beeping
  • Restores consistent control of wash performance and cycle sequencing
What's included: One control module assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the dishwasher before servicing
  • Handle the board by the edges and use ESD precautions; avoid touching components
  • Move wiring harnesses over one connector at a time to match positions on the new module
  • After installation, restore power and run a test/service cycle or control reset per your model's tech sheet

For Ge Dishwasher Control Module Assembly (Main Control Board) (Part Number: OEM13125237)

Tom W. for Model Number GE Dishwasher Model PDW9200L00WW

After a series of power outages, my dishwasher now beeps continuously. None of the indicator lights are lit and none of the keypads work. The dishwasher does nothing but beep continuously. I have turned the power off to the dishwasher several times and waited several minutes before turning the power back on, but this does not fix the problem. If the power is on, it simply beeps continuously. Does this sound like a control module problem? Thanks

Hello Tom, You need to use the mini manual from he machine to put the unit into the service mode. This will allow you to check the on-board components and determine what the cause of the alarm is. TO ENTER SERVICE MODE: PRESS AND HOLD THE DOWN ARROW KEYPAD AND THEN PRESS THE HEATED DRY KEYPAD SIMULTANEOUSLY FOR 3 SECONDS. TO EXIT SERVICE MODE: PRESS THE START/RESET KEYPAD AT ANYTIME TO EXIT. Let us know if we can assist you further.

Hello Mike. Usually this happens when the arm get wore and becomes loose and touches the element. It sounds like you need to replace the spray arm on the unit.

My dishwasher is not advancing to the drying stage. i ran factory test / reset and all lights lit up to start on the key pad with the exception of the drying stage. i have full functionality of the key pad as far as up and down arrows, added heat, etc. A week ago i did get through 1 successful cycle and dishes came out perfectly clean and very hot to the touch; since then heating element seems to be intermitment at best....but appears that when it gets signal to be on, it does go on. current cycles i have attempted to run will get down inside the 30 minute remaining mark on timer and then at somte point presumably when time to start drying, cycle will terminate. does this sound like a control board issue or could it be symtomatic of other problem?

David, This issue would sound more like a control board issue rather than anything else. It would be a good idea to test the heating element and thermostats to make sure that it is ok. If they check ok then the control board would be faulty.

Steve, You will want to run the unit through a diagnostic mode. On the back side of the toe panel should be the wiring diagram. This will have the service mode in it. If everything checks fine in the service mode then the control board is what would be at fault and need to be replaced.

Chuck, you're on the right track. It is more likely to have an intermittent or failed drain pump WD26X10039 than a defective control board WD21X10463 or wiring at this stage. You do want to make sure the filter screens and sump chamber are clear of any sediment, chemical build up or debris. You also may want to disconnect the drain hose from the plumbing, and drain the dishwasher into a bucket, a few times, this would clear any debris from the drain hose.

Charles for Model Number GE Dishwasher PDW9980L00SS

When starting the dishwasher, "Normal Cycle" and "Added Heat" are chosen, the "Start" button is pressed, and the door is shut. This worked consistently until the last few weeks, but now only works intermittently. Lately, when this procedure is followed, the dishwasher fills as usual, then empties immediately; all lights go off except green "Start" light, and then the dishwasher, on its own, turns off "Added Heat," switches to "Heated Dry," and then starts this new cycle, not the originally selected cycle. The dishwasher is then turned off, and then there is another attempt by me to set the correct cycle, and the same thing happens. This may occur 5-6 times before it will run the cycle selected. My wife tries switching to different cycles, pushing the up and down arrows, and eventually she is able to get it to stay on "Added Heat." and not switch to "Heated Dry." Does this sound like a Control Board issue?

Hi. It seems like you have a couple different issue. Remove the lower kick plate. Inspect the float stem as it engages the float switch for positive engagement actions up and down (ON/OFF). Make sure the float stem has not fallen off the side of the lever and the side cover has not uncapped open allowing all of this. Once this is established, then the Diagnostic chart needs to be located (either behind the toe kick panel in with the electronic control board). Put the unit into a diagnostic mode. It sounds like the Turbidity Sensor test in the diagnostic needs tested. The Sensor is part # WD21X10202. Make sure the door latch/switches are staying closed. Let us know what the diagnostic error codes are so we can help. Thank You.

Hi Brad. WASHABILITY COMPLAINTS- Hot Water – Ample supply of water at 120°F minimum temperature is necessary. Do not use dishwasher soon after using clothes washer or filling bathtub. Remove the lower kick panel and find the tech. sheet. It will allow you to use the diagnostic mode and find the default code . This allows you to use the volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Then you will check the complete circuit , wiring , connections, and devices with the wiring diagram at your hand. Thank You.
