For Whirlpool Dishwasher Control Board (Part Number: OEM18044862)

Hello Joe. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WPW10021720 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. If some buttons are working, and others are not, it is the panel, not the control board in the unit that is bad.

Hello Mitwins. You will need to check and see if the heater and thermal cutoff are good in the unit and working properly. If not, it will cause the unit to run for a long time. Hope this helps.

When I start my dishwasher it starts to fill about 2/3 of the way, what I mean is part way into the fill cycle it goes off.. I push all the buttons ie.. NORMAL.. HEATED DRY.. SANI RINSE.. and START finishes filling up than quits... I continue to do this cycle for 3 to 4 times, same result. I than cancel and drain... throw in another was tab and repeat the process and on the 4th try it runs... for about 15 min and then it quits.. once I restart it continues til complete... Is it the Control Panel or the Control Board HELP

Hi Robert. A couple of things to check. There is the float stem that rides on the float switch operating it. If the float stem as it pasases through the tub gets hung up on the debris it will not allow proper fill. It is part # WP8268913. Then if the flosat switch is bad internally it may ohm out correctly but fail electrically under a load. It is part # WP8268909. There is a float mount body that positions the float stem so it rides the switch connection correctly, if this is broken then it will be a misguide. Part # WPW10175383. There is a float switch lever part # WP8268892 make sure this is intact. Then look at the water fill valve. Is the inlet screen clogged ? Is the coils getting weak and opening under a load ? It should ohm out to continuity and not open or shorted. Water valve part # W10648041. Thank You.

Brian, I would not start with the control board, you most likely have an issue in the keypad/control panel assembly WP3385734 . " PROBLEM: WON’T RUN AND LED ABOVE KEY(S) IS FLASHING RAPIDLY = Stuck key(s) or shorted circuit(s) in keypad. Shorted circuits or connections on the control that read the keys. " When the repair is complete you will need to reset the control board " NOTE 1. To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby: Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal", ans allow the test mode to advance to the end of the mode, and turn off. Thanks and Good Luck

Marshall C. for Model Number Whirlpool Dishwasher DU1055XTSS3 (stainless)

Suddenly, with no warning, the left side of my control panel does not work. This means that the start button, rinse, normal/light/pot scrubber lights do not come on when their buttons are pushed and unit does not run at all. However, on the right side, the high temp, sani wash, heated dry lights all work wehn the buttons are pushed. But, the cancel and delay buttons on the right side do not work. What must be repalced to get it running again? thanks
