Range / Cooktop / Oven Switch
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W11106342
This infinite top burner control switch restores variable heat control to an electric range burner so the cooktop responds correctly to knob settings. It replaces a worn or faulty rotary control for simmer-to-high temperature adjustment. What it does:
- Regulates power to a single surface element so you can adjust burner heat across multiple settings
- Commonly used when a burner won't heat, heats inconsistently, or won't change temperatures with the knob
- Can address symptoms like a burner stuck on one setting, no heat from a specific burner, or erratic temperature control
- Works with the range's knob and wiring harness to provide stepped/resistive control rather than simple on/off operation
What's included: One infinite top burner control switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance at the breaker before inspecting or replacing the switch
- Handle terminals and wiring carefully; avoid touching live contacts and verify correct connector orientation before reassembly
- The switch matches the original by comparing terminal layout and mounting points

Part Number: WB21K10130
This switch sail assembly is the user-facing actuator that engages a range or cooktop control switch, letting you select heat settings and turn burners on or off. It restores tactile control when the original actuator is worn or broken. What it does:
- Replaces the plastic sail/actuator that interfaces with a control switch for safe, reliable operation
- Transfers knob movement to the internal switch so burners respond to your setting
- Commonly used when a control feels loose, slips, or fails to change settings
- Fits into the control panel and snaps or secures into the switch housing to make a firm connection
What's included: One switch sail assembly (actuator) as shown. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair to avoid shock or injury
- Installation typically requires removing the control panel or trim and carefully disengaging the old actuator from the switch
- Handle plastic components gently to avoid breakage; correct orientation before reassembly

This wire harness connects the control/switch assembly to the appliance's thermal cutoff and control circuits, restoring reliable electrical connections for proper operation. It's a direct-fit replacement when the original wiring is damaged or corroded. What it does:
- Provides the factory routing and connectors between the control/switch and TCB/thermal cutoff
- Re-establishes lost or intermittent power caused by damaged wiring or broken terminals
- Helps stop failures that cause controls to be unresponsive or cycles to stop unexpectedly
- Uses OEM-style terminals and insulation to match original fit and function
What's included:
- One wire harness (switch TCB) as shown
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before starting — verify the appliance is completely de-energized
- Take photos of existing wire routing and connector locations to ensure correct reassembly
- Plug connectors fully and secure the harness along original clips or tie points; avoid sharp edges
- If terminals are damaged at mating parts, inspect and replace those components rather than splicing connectors

Gas range one burner stopped lighting when turned on James C. • Franklinton , NC • September 17, 2016
I researched similar problems online, especially youtube. The ignition harness seemed to be the problem. I ordered it here, and received it within 2 days. Maybe I was lucky, but It took only about 15 minutes to replace on my unit. Stove is back to working as expected.

When turning the burner off the ignitor would continue to spark and some burners would not ignite. Andrew M. • Valley City , OH • June 02, 2020
I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. Then I replaced the spark module since the flame and the burner being turned off were not being detected and burners would not re-light if the flame went out.

Broken fan switch Darrell Q. • Leesburg , VA • May 09, 2016
This replacement part looks nothing like the original because the original is two parts, the replacement is one part. The original has a switch with 3 wires coming out of it that go into a "block" screwed to the bottom tray. And this "block" has 2 wires that come out of it going to the fan. With the replacement, the block is eliminated and the 2 wires go directly to the switch. Easy install.

I had an old stove in the kitchen, the controls had gone bad. When the knob is turned they once turned up the heat gradually, they started jumping at some point in the rotation to fully on Roger H. • Rice Lake , WI • November 15, 2019
Being cautious, I ordered new burner controls (infinity switches) for the front two burners. I installed them and was very happy with the results. The new controls allowed me to increase or decrease the amount of heat without what you might call thermal runaway (A sudden switch to full-on). Encouraged, I ordered two more burner controls and installed them for the back two burners. I have not yet tested them extensively, but I am confident that I now have four functioning burners.
