I got online and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I found others had the same problem, and
had replaced the switch, with my model number your rep got me the exact switch
and a video on how to change it. It took approx 15-20 min . was very happy with the

Well the range was only 5 years old and there was a recall around the time of purchase I wasn't aware of for the exact problem - elements turning on by themselves etc. regardless Sears insisted that it wasn't the same issue. After numerous screwups by Sears Repair in changing appointment times, they finally assessed issue and they claimed they had never seen this problem before.
