Had to replace both switches. The hard part was getting the control panel off to get access. Only a few screws but even after getting them out, really struggled getting it off. After getting off, discovered that you need to get it lifted up before pulling it off. Read more

When trouble shooting the problem I found that the light switch housing outer lip was broken allowing the switch to push through mounting surface behind the oven door. This is a slide in range so, I proceeded to pull the range away from the counter where I could unplug the power cord. Once the power was off like located the panel on the right upper side of the unit and removed the screws to allow access to the switch. First check to see how many leads your switch has before ordering - I ordered before I took things apart, and got an incorrect 2 lead version when I needed a 3. On starting the repair, at first thought I might have to take apart console - but happily, no. Trial and error only cooktop unit. Everything mounted into the counter and needed to pull unit out. I figured it was a control switch or the burner itself.
