Replaces cracked, bent, or broken left front burner tube on gas ranges. Delivers gas from valve to burner head. Common wear part needing replacement.
It was a Friday afternoon, of course, I went to my local supply house for the part. I did look it up on your site first to see what I needed and how much I was looking to pay. I got there and "They don't stock those!" I said thank you and went to do more hunting. I ended up at what I found to be the only other parts place in town, and they could've ordered it, for much more than you, I don't mind paying more to get it now but am not going to wait a week to pay more. I said no and came home,... Read more

Burner won't turn off or heat properly? This range burner switch controls power flow to surface elements. Moderate DIY repair, 30-45 minutes.
We cut the power, took the control panel off, got the burner switch number from the original part, and ordered a new one. We were a little worried at that point, because your website offered a "replacement" part, with a different number than the original. However, we put the model number into your double check feature and were assured that we were getting the right part. The part arrived in two days and frankly we were still worried, because the new part was slightly larger than the original.... Read more

Replacement control knob for range burners. Installs on the front control panel. Needed when original knob is cracked, broken, or missing.
Purchased 4 new knobs to replace the broken two and have two in reserve for down the road. Unfortunately the manufacturer's design won't stop the problem but at lease ApplianceParts Pro can replace them quickly. I ordered them the same day a repairman came out to fix the oven. I received the parts in 3 business days and the part ordered by the repairman is still not here. You were fast and reliable. Read more
The Rear Door Support is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges. Located at the base of the range, this bracket provides weight-bearing support for the lower oven drawer. It facilitates smooth extension and retraction of the drawer. Causes of faulty support can include cracks or fractures developing over extended use, worn joints unable to sustain drawer weight, or misalignment from repeated opening/closing stress. Symptoms of a bad support include:
This OEM GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore ranges.
So, in the process of a kitchen remodel my GC managed to lose *both* of the rear plastic supports for my GE stove! The drawer was totally unsupported without the brackets. I managed to find them on your site and see that they were a new and better design (rear mount with screw vs side mount and no firm mounting). The install was a snap and the brackets work excellent. I wish I knew that there was a new design years ago or I would have bought them much sooner! Thanks!! Read more
Burner won't heat or stuck on high? This infinite switch and seal kit restores heat control and protects against spill damage. Moderate DIY repair.
I took it apart to troubleshoot. I was pretty sure it was the switch but wanted to make sure it wasn't the element as well. Sure enough the switch was burnt at a little piece of copper protruding out the side. The plastic was blackened too which was a telling sign. The element was fine. I replaced the switch, turned on the cooktop and it worked again. Apparently, these switches are wired in series because when this one went out the rest of them wouldn't turn on either. Read more

Burner stuck on high or won't adjust temperature? This infinite switch controls heat levels on cooktop elements. DIY repair takes 1-2 hours with power off.
Based on internet search and data found on APPLIANCE PARTS PRO, I deduced that the "infinite control " module was most likely bad. Replaced it and all is good. Toughest part was remembering how to disengage cooktop from down draft blower and then pulling the cook top up in within it's opening. Once pulled up, I put short 2x4's across the opening corners to support the cooktop safely while I worked on it. Next issue was figuring out exactly which screws held the glass top in place. As... Oven not heating or baking unevenly? A faulty bake element is often the cause. This bottom heating element is a straightforward DIY fix in 5-10 minutes.
My husband, who was the FIX-IT repair man at our house, passed away in March. When our bake element burned out my son, who is 18 looked at me and I looked at him and we shook our heads! We hunted on the oven till we found the serial number. We googled for GE OVEN repair parts and up popped AppliancePartsPros. We found the element, ordered it, watched the DETAILED VIDEO on how to change it out. The part came the next day. Philip had the old one out and the new one in in less than 10... Read more

Freezer icing up or frost building on coils? The defrost heater melts ice from evaporator coils. Moderately difficult repair, about 1 hour install time.
Fridge keept building up ice in defrost drain drain in freezer. Once the drain pan filled with ice it drips into fridge compartment. After taking things apart three times to thaw it out, decided to replace defrost components - heater and temperature switch. In addition to new parts, also added a 12 gauge copper wire hook that hangs from defrost heater into the defrost drain. After this, the defrost cycle is running as expected, but will not know if the issue is corrected until a year or so... Read more
Replaces a cracked, worn, or broken oven door hinge. Installs on the right side, allowing the door to open and close smoothly and securely.
I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. I used a hemostat to hold the spring and keep it from falling back into the hole. removed the... Read more
