I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. Removed 2 outer screws that held on handle and 4 inner screws which held on handle to outer panel. Installed new handle with 4 screws and installed outer 2 screws with spacers which were in door. Read more

Replaced the large burner control switches for the ones giving trouble. Since the other two switches had seen as much use as the faulty ones, replaced them too. After putting in new switches, found that one large burner had burned out so replaced it also. Range now cooks as good as new Read more

After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Removed existing gasket and replaced with new gasket in less than 5 minutes. Very Easy. Make sure to remove the lower burner cover (inside the oven) which allows you to pull the end gasket material through the two circular openings in the frame. Read more

The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. I removed the oven door (just lifts off the hinges) and proceeded to disassemble the door so as to get to the glass panes. The clips on the rear side of the drawer box were broken. Easy to locate the part on the website. Part in hand in two days and installed in about five minutes. Needed to remove the drawer and use a 1/4" driver, remove the broken slide and install the new one. Read more

Replaced the regulator with part #AP5802175. Watched the video when purchasing, and it was spot on. Would have taken me about 15-20 minutes if I had access to a vise, to remove one of the fittings. Was able to get it out using two wrenches, but it was not without a bit of elbow grease. The new part went in easily. Turned on valve on regulator, plugged in the power, turned on the gas valve, done. Everything worked fine. Easy job for anyone with just a few tools. Read more
