Ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros - super fast shipping, and even though I opted for regular shipping all of my parts arrived the very next day, including the big and bulky inner basket. Ordered a replacement valve and installed it. The part from AppliancePartsPro was an exact replacement for the original part. Replaced the hot and cold hoses at the same time to insure no leaks. Cold water settings now work properly again. Read more

Removed front of dryer panel, removed top, and removed drum. Replaced motor and wheel, because the old wheel was rusted on the motor shaft, and could not be removed, so I had to break it off. Replaced motor, and reassembled. Everything works now. I also replace the switch-Pb, because the start button was getting stuck. Read more

Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. I originally thought it to be my capacitor. But after installing the new one my machine still wouldn't wash, upon further inspection the hose that connects to the water level indicator on the control panel had popped a loose. I reconnected it and my washer is working just fine now. So try and do a complete inspection before spending unnecessary money ($125) like I did. Read more

Door latch was a snap (literally). Package included Instructions and parts for 3 different latch types and an easy identification method for each type. Just identify the correct latch type for your dryer and "Snap" it in to the cutout on the inside of the dryer door . The Door handle requires you unscrew the small sheet metal screws (three on my dryer) on the top edge of the dryer door. Using a punch and a big hammer I forced the lock through the housing, replaced the old lock with the new one and was done!!!! Really easy!!! Read more

Im not a repairman, so all my knowledge to fix my washer came from either youtube or online chats. I posted this to help the next dad trying to save a few bucks. Door sensor... Since door sensor worked correctly, verified that by starting washer with door open, and agitate cycle would not start until door was closed. Meaning door sensor worked correctly. Timer...
