This is a thermal fuse rated at 320 degrees Fahrenheit that acts as a safety device in the dryer's heating circuit. It is designed to blow and cut power to the heater or the entire dryer if the internal temperature exceeds safe limits, preventing a fire hazard. Replace this fuse if your dryer runs but produces no heat, or if the dryer won't start at all - thermal fuses are not resettable and must be replaced once they have tripped.

I loosened middle hinge by the 2 screws which holds a power cord that clips together, then slid the hinge flap upward to release from the door. My bottom clip hinge was broken away from spring and the only way to attach a new hinge clip was to carefully separate the hinge flap. I researched the issue on You tube and found out it could be either the "belt broke switch" or the Moisture sensor. A friend who was an appliance mechanic advised "since you have to take it all apart anyways, its best to replace the belt, spring, and Idler wheel" I bought the 5 item for $52.
