The repair job took me less than 15 minutes. I removed the lower back panel from the back of the fridge then disconnected the power to the fridge and turned off the water supply to the fridge. I then looked closely at how the water valve 2-way was installed and removed it. Then I connected the water supply lines for the water and ice then connected the water valve line and I was done. It was that simple. Saved an appliance service call of about $100. and did the job myself. Read more

Samsung top load washer, about 3 years old started throwing a DC error code more and more often. Initially started with large loads. First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. When starting my dryer the motor would power up and rotoe the drum and blower. Afetr about 20-30 seconds the igniter would come on then the gas valve would open and I would get heat for about 6 or 7 seconds then it would shut off. I know the burner is suppoed to cycle on and off but once the burner shut off it would not come bqack on unless I shut the dryer off and then back on. Checked the three door switches; used ohm meter to see if there was resistance or if a switch was bad. 2 out of 3 switches showed resistance with the ohm meter. I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. Samsung refrrigerator. it started when the setting was on cubes but was putting out crushed ice. then months later the water refill was running down into the ice bucket causing a massive block of ice in the bucket. look closely at the first two or three cubes in the ice tray after they unload. mine were not dumping and staying in the tray. when the water refill kicked on it would overfill the tray (because of the leftover cubes remaining in the tray) and would run down into the ice bucket...
