I read a few of your reviews and found that a, "Phase Control Board" may be the problem. It was! Talk about easy to install... It was super easy! I decided to order the, "Speed Control Plate" also as a precaution (Shipping was one price - and it arrived the very next day, Wow! I didn't expect that.) With my screwdriver and good lighting. I fixed it myself! My husband is still in shock. I used forceps to install the, "Speed Control Plate," because I needed something to hold the tension wire - at...

The Interlock Switch is an OEM replacement part for GE electric and gas dryers. This safety component monitors the door closure, preventing operation if the door is not securely closed and latched. The switch measures 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
Symptoms of a faulty interlock switch include:
- Dryer failing to start or running with the door open
- Timer display not illuminated when start button is pressed
- Inability to open the dryer door during operation
- Dryer suddenly stopping mid-cycle before fully drying clothes
Causes relate to the internal component contacting the door frame over 50,000 open/close cycles potentially exposing wiring to wear. Regular cleaning the external switch area prevents dust or lint buildup skewing performance.
This genuine GE switch is compatible with Hotpoint and RCA dryers as well.
Note: Can be used as a dishwasher door switch on specific models. Check your model number for the most accurate results.

Melted door switch. Christopher K. • Greeneville , TN • February 03, 2024
The full story:
Dishwasher stopped running mid-cycle. When I first began troubleshooting I tried manually advancing the timer knob, and the machine would run. That led me to believe that the actual timer assembly was bad, so I replaced it. The dishwasher ran fine for a day, and then the same problem came back. This time, however, I also had to push in on the door to get it to run. I looked around online, and someone suggested that the door latch wasn't closing tightly enough. I adjusted the...

I had an appliance repair guy come and he told me it was possibly the vent assembly but if changing it didn't fix the problem it would be the control board next. Kitchenaid dishwasher would not complete wash cycle John M. • Lillian , AL • July 31, 2016
This was a difficult problem to diagnose. Because the machine would start the wash cycle then shut down after a few minutes of running, it appeared that the cause might be a bad thermostat or heating element, but all checked out ok. That led me to believe that the control panel may be the culprit but it also appeared to be working correctly when I ran the diagnostics program. A visual examination of the components found that the door switch electrical connections looked discolored, so I removed...

Dishwasher would not fill Eric D. • Indianapolis , IN • March 02, 2020
Replacing the inlet valve solved the problem. The old valve was somehow clogged with white sediment. I probably could have taken it off and cleaned it out if I'd known, but replacing the valve was much easier. Took about half an hour to repair. Video walk through was extremely helpful. If yor fridgidaire dishwasher is showing an i30 error code do not assume there is a leak Kenneth T. • Vineland , NJ • April 24, 2017
I had to pull and clean the pressure sensor switch four times in a year. Each time more gunk accumulated. When that happens the sensor does not close the water valve. The dishawsher keeps filling and the water comes out through the overfill port. The water then goes in the catch basin under the washer and floats the emergency switch. This cuts off the water but keeps the pump running just in case. Tripping the circuit breaker is only a temp fix. What happens is the water level may have...

Lg dishwasher “ne” or “ue” error code (vario spray arm). Dimitri T. • Cranston , RI • February 26, 2019
This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). It would be wise to order the motor seal and micro switch that goes with it as they are all cheap parts and easy to swap out during the procedure. Be sure to take...

The parts from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived a day ahead of schedule. (I'm a big APP.com fan.) I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle. Because the buttons and handle trim needed to be transferred from the old Panel-Facia to the new one, I expected that, also being plastic, they may break when making the transfer, so I ordered all of those parts as well, which only drove the cost up about $32.
