I first checked to make sure the washer was level. The washer is on a concrete floor. After watching lots of you tube videos I ordered all the parts that could be causing this problem. I ordered: Balance Ring, Suspension Pad Kit (3 rectangle plastic wear pads), Tub Suspension Pads(3 curved plastic wear pads), Suspension Spring, and a Spanner Wrench tool. Removed the front panel and removed the screw from the console which revealed a broken plastic tab on the right side of the old injector. Replaced the old injector with the new one and that took care of the problem. Read more

Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. • No hot or cold water

I tested the Atc. mid level switch, with my multi tester and found it was not sending enough current to the cold water inlet valve, so it would not open and let cold water in. I replaced the switch, (it was a snap) literally it snapped in place. replace the front face and turned the water back on and plugged in the washer, and turned it on. It worked perfect and has been since. good and easy repair even for a novice like me.. Read more

I replaced the entire agitator (my appliance agitator could only be replaced in one part not the upper part only). It was super easy but one thing....the video on the website was not helpful because my maytag washer is older and does NOT have a screw down inside the agitator but has one 1/4 inch hex nut on the side down by the base. Good for me though because all I had to do was unscrew the nut, put the new agitator on, tighten the new nut and DONE!! Read more

I had removed three screws behind the control board cover of the washer, to access the old lid switch. I checked the continuety of the of the switch with a multimeter and it obviously failed the the test by displaying infinity of <1, rather than being 0. I removed the old switch with a flathead screw driver, I tested the new one and installed it in no time. Problem solved!!! Read more

Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad.
