Estate Control Knob
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP8273103

The Control Knob is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool gas ranges. It is the manually operated rotary component that selects cooking features and temperature settings on the stovetop burners. Measures about 2 inches in diameter. For white order WP8273104. For biscuit order WP8273106.

Causes of a bad control knob include normal wear of internal components over extensive cooking cycles. Stripping or deterioration of the knurled gripping surface also reduces functionality.

Symptoms of a failed control knob involve:

  • Difficulty in turning or fully engaging desired burners
  • Loose, detached, or misaligned positioning on the control panel
  • Inaccurate burner selection leading to scorched pans or undercooked meals
  • Knob continuously self-adjusting from intended temperature settings

Compatible brands include KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, and some Kenmore gas ranges and cooktops as well.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken screw holes in top of plastic vent grill   Spencer H. • Weston , FL • July 25, 2016

My microwave was stainless steel. I ordered the part for stainless steel, but it was not identical in color. It was black and not the gray color of stainless steel. However, I removed the stainless steel (the actual metallic) frame from my broken grille (bent back a few metal tabs and pried loose the adhesive tape with a putty knife). Then I placed it on my new black plastic part and reassembled to the microwave. I find that it looks perfectly acceptable and maybe even nicer with the black as... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Could not remove old power cord from back of dryer (screw heads stripped due to soft metal)   Michael A. • Lewiston , ME • August 26, 2017

I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. The head of the screws were made of such a weak metal, that the screw head began stripping. I have a phillip screw kit with different sized heads, so I picked a head that... Read more

The Range Screw is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. It is a small but essential component used to secure various parts and panels of the range. It is designed to fit securely into pre-drilled holes, holding components tightly in place.

Symptoms of a bad screw may include loose or wobbly parts, rattling noises during operation, or difficulty in keeping components securely attached. This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave turntable motor overheated and melted tray coupler   Terry H. • Columbia , MO • May 31, 2018

Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. Estate Deflector
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP8528862

The Deflector is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dishwashers. Located in the lower corners of the tub, this component works to prevent leaks by keeping water from entering the cracks along the tub edges.

Causes of a bad corner deflector can include cracks, chips, or breaks from repeated impact or stress over time. Mineral buildup can also cause deflectors to warp or become misshapen, reducing their effectiveness.

Symptoms of a bad corner deflector include:

  • Water leaks or moisture inside the cabinet below the dishwasher
  • Puddles or drips near tub corners after cycles
  • Mineral residue or pooling in lower tub corners

Replacing the corner deflector with a new OEM part restores a tight seal to prevent water from entering cracks and causing leaks or damaged components inside the cabinet.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Fix loud grinding noise or poor water circulation in your dishwasher. This pump and motor assembly circulates and drains water. Moderate DIY repair.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Machine running loud grew worse until it was obvious the motor blew a bearing   Robert S. • Bettendorf , IA • February 21, 2015

We initially noticed the dishwasher running loud and failing to completely clean dishes. Research suggested issues like this were normally caused by either the main circulation motor or the drain motor. Over the next week the noise worsened, and it became obvious that the circulation motor had went (loud whirring noise whenever the spin cycle kicked in). I watched a couple youtube videos on the removal and dissassembly until I felt confident that my wife and I could handle the project. For the... Read more
