I unplugged the oven and then removed the back panel. Next I started started removing cables from the old control board one by one, being careful to plug them into the same place on the new board. There were some slight differences in where some cables were located, but the ports are labeled and you can just match it that way. Then I applied the new faceplate to the new control board. I unscrewed the old board and screwed in the new board. Very easy replacement. Read more

Very easily!! Although the stove in the video was a different setup then ours , it worked. We took the face of the stove off, took out the 9 screws holding it on. Checked the wire attachments against the new unit and plugged in in. The only thing I wished I'd known, the actual face( with the words oven etc.on it) needed to be peeled from the original unit. It came off pretty good and is usable but would have been nice to have a new one. Read more

I looked up the schematics on Google, and where to order GE parts from, ordered the part took 2 days to arrive, took 20 minutes total to take out old element and put in new element. Range works great. I would highly recommend buying from this company again, in fact I added them to my favorites. Read more

I'm a Realtor and I know how important it is to have a pristine home no matter the age. I find keeping the oven by itself is relatively easy but the racks tend to be a bit harder to keep spotless. My way of trouble shooting this prior to putting my home on the market, new racks. I found I could "rap" on my broiler/oven control valve and the oven would light, so I ordered a new control valve. Installing valve was not difficult except for having to lay on the floor and work in a small space. After installation, the oven lit only ONE time...and the boiler/oven problem was unchanged....broiler would light, but not oven. A word of caution - Due to not fully analyzing the situation upfront, I ultimately replaced more parts than necessary. So don't forget to check the spark module (the little electronic gadget that powers all the igniters), rather than jumping to the conclusion that the individual igniter or associated igniter cord is the problem (as I mistakenly did).
