I needed to replace the light bulb in the oven, but forgot to turn off the breaker and unplug the oven (NEVER DO THIS)!!! There was a spark, and my control board was fried. I found I could "rap" on my broiler/oven control valve and the oven would light, so I ordered a new control valve. Installing valve was not difficult except for having to lay on the floor and work in a small space. Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. I repaired the problem by replacing the Power Board assembly and the daughter relay board. Not sure which one was the problem. Since I had it apart I replaced both. So far the unit is working like new. Everything was plug in, so I didn't have to worry about complex wiring. I took pictures prior to disassembly to make sure I got the reassembly right. A word of caution - Due to not fully analyzing the situation upfront, I ultimately replaced more parts than necessary. So don't forget to check the spark module (the little electronic gadget that powers all the igniters), rather than jumping to the conclusion that the individual igniter or associated igniter cord is the problem (as I mistakenly did). Physical appearance by replacing burner caps and burner grate. My wife is a cleaning machine. Only probelm is the grates and caps get slight burn marks on them that are hard to clean. I may try your ceramic cleaner to see if that works better than elbow grease. Read more
