This switch harness assembly links the cooktop burner knob switches to the ignition circuit so the burners spark when you turn a knob. Replacing a damaged harness restores consistent lighting and can stop intermittent or continuous clicking during use.
Refer to Mynor T. of Draper, UT Aug. 12, 2018 write-up. I benefited greatly from the above write-up. It took me a little less time to perform this repair (excluding cleaning the assembly) due to the write-up. This GE Profile gas burner cook top is a “drop-in” model meant to be installed into counter top cut outs. The glass top edges are the actual support area for the entire cook top assembly. The burner bases (on top of the glass top) are screwed to the metal case enclosure (located beneath... Read more
Restore smooth, precise heat control to your surface burner. This infinite switch sits behind the knob and modulates power to the element so you can dial in consistent low-through-high settings.

1900W Element Control
Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. Removed cooktop and followed the instructions video given with the parts online. Process was simple and everything on my cooktop is working like it is brand new. The only problem I have is with the online chat, save time by calling in and talking to someone as the people I talked to online (4 of them) are in such a hurry to get to the next call they gave conflicting part... This plunger switch is the push-style electrical switch that completes a circuit when an actuator is depressed, restoring reliable on/off signaling. Use it to replace a worn or broken plunger switch that causes intermittent or non-responsive operation. What it does:
I pulled the switch out of the oven console and wiggled it until it started working. That only worked for a few days. I ordered the new switch from AppliancePartsPros on Monday. In the mean time, I pulled the switch off and held the wiring harness in place with duct tape. This turned off the light. Two days later, I plugged in the replacement switch, pushed it into the console and the rest is history! Thank you AppliancePartsPros! Read more

Note: Part has been revised and may no longer include the wires. The switch is the same. Use your existing wires.
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. When the U is right side up, the gas is off and so should the igniter. The gas valve shaft position couldn't be changed, so instead, I re-mounted the... Read more

This 3-speed blower switch controls the exhaust fan in your range hood, allowing you to select low, medium, or high airflow. Replacing a worn switch can restore dependable ventilation and proper speed control. What it does:
We ordered the parts and watched the help videos. It was "almost" exact in telling us what we needed to go. Our cooktop is 16 years old and had a ton of greasy buildup that had slowly gotten down into the knobs and was a sticky mess to undo. However the parts fit perfectly, and after 2 hours of careful "home engineering" we made it happen and everything works aweome now. My dad then decided to dissect the older switches, and proclaimed that we probably could have cleaned the connecters... Read more
