Replace your dishwasher's lower dishrack assembly if it's rusted, cracked, or has broken tines. This gray rack holds dishes securely during wash cycles.
I very seldom respond to requests for feedback like this but definitely feel moved to do so in this case. When our 8 year old dishwasher started acting up my initial reaction was to simply replace it. I wasn't sure what was wrong, nor if I would be able to find the right part once I did figure out the problem. The troubleshooting advice on this website was spot on and I quickly figured out what needed to be replaced. The repair videos were easy to follow and the parts were here two days... Read more

Dryer won't start or shuts off unexpectedly? A failed thermal limiter is often the cause. This safety fuse prevents overheating. DIY repair in 30-45 minutes.
Recommendations have fun and a bucket to prevent losing parts. First watch the videos, practice disassemble and reassemble the dryer drum. Make certain you have a good screw driver and spatula from kitchen (could not find my putty knife). Secondly, clean and inspect everything, make sure the motor bearing and belt pulleys are in good condition with little or no play. Third after you have confidently disassembled, vacuum cleaned, inspected all the worn parts, grease the motor and pulley,... Read more

The Clock is an OEM part for Frigidaire ovens and ranges. It is the central electronic component that regulates and monitors oven functions such as bake, broil, convection, temperature controls, and timers. This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.
I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring. I disconnected the elements and checked them with a ohmmeter (VOM) and both had continuity. Discovered that both elements used the same... Read more
Washer won't drain or spin? A clogged or failed drain pump is the likely cause. This part removes water from the tub between cycles. DIY repair in 15-30 minutes.
So, Saturday, the washer wouldn't drain, yes, I tried the Drain/Spin cycle. So I took the clothes out, rinsed them out twice in the laundry sink and dried them. After a quick Google search, I came to the conclusion that the pump was bad and ordered a pump, $125. Over the course of the next four days, expecting the new pump on Thursday, I baled out the washer, pulled it out from the wall and propped up the front (it's HEAVY), removed the front access panel, removed the drain inlet and outlet... Supports the dryer drum for smooth rotation. Replace if your dryer squeals, makes grinding noises, or the drum sags. Verify fit with your model number.
The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible. Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I went on YouTube: and type in Kenmore dryer not turning on. Watched several videos to narrow down the possible problem. Next step was to... Read more

Rear support clip that holds the crisper cover shelf in place. Replace when broken, snapped, or cracked to restore stability to your crisper drawer area.
If you can't pull out the displacement pins on the crisper cover support clips that allow the wall to carry the weight of the cover, slides and drawer, you may need to push those pins in (they fall down the wall) to remove the clip. During the replacement of both front clips, I had one I could remove and one I had attempted to drill a tiny hole in to be able to pull the pin. Ultimately it did not work and needed to be simply pushed in. Do not worry, there is nothing below which the plastic... Read more
Drive belt connects motor to drum for wash and spin cycles. Replace if washer won't spin, clothes stay wet, or you smell burning rubber. Verify fit.
I replaced the spin bearing, tub seal, washer and drive belt since I had it all apart. The video was extremely helpful...I would have tore the whole thing apart trying to figure out how the agitator came off....but it was very simple. Read more
Clear plastic drawer that slides into the lower section of your refrigerator to store fresh produce. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
I ordered new parts from your company for my refrigerator. These were easy parts to replace and did not require tools. I was most grateful in being able to order those parts by telephone from your company. This process was surprisingly easy and did not require a long wait to speak to a representative. The persons I spoke with were polite, efficent and very competent. The parts got to me very quickly in well packed boxes. I though this process would be an ordeal and it was the opposite. This was... Seals the gap between drum and front panel to prevent air leakage and clothes snagging. Replace if worn, torn, or causing thumping noise. Verify fit.
My 12 year old Frigidaire stack on top dryer had been beeping distress messages in some unintelligible code for about a year when it completely stopped producing heat. It also had a long standing issue with delicate fabrics and thin straps or drawstrings getting caught in the drum. After using this site to troubleshoot and viewing the useful how-to videos, I ordered and replaced the heating element, thermal limiter, and felt seals. Based on others' stories, I decided to also replace the rear... Read more

Freezer won't shut off or runs continuously? A faulty temperature control thermostat is often the cause. Simple DIY fix in about 30 minutes with a screwdriver.
Noticed Rolls on the top shelf no longer frozen, though the meat around it still was. Note: This is a good test, keep something that thaws quickly and is not expensive on top shelf, to act as a barometer for your freezer health! I first found a trip online to advance the defrost timer, as a failed timer is a common issue. I advanced the timer, but nothing happened. I emptied the freezer, then removed the thermostat and tested it. No continuity! With the Freezer continuing to thaw, I... Read more
Supports the front of the dryer drum for smooth, quiet rotation. Replace if you hear scraping noise or see wear marks. Verify fit with your model number.
The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Lack of parts and hardware challenged the effort. For example, the blower assembly did not have the slide capture for the motor. I had to use the old one which is showing its age. With the exception of the drum... Read more
