Hot Point Check Valve Flapper
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD01X10175

The Check Valve Flapper is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is a small but crucial component located within the water inlet valve assembly. The check valve flapper regulates water flow into the dishwasher, allowing water to enter during the fill cycles but preventing backflow when the water is drained.

Causes of a bad check valve flapper can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup that causes sticking, or damage to the flapper itself. This prevents the flapper from opening and closing as intended.

Symptoms of a bad check valve flapper include:

  • Slow or incomplete filling of water
  • Dripping or leaking water from the inlet area
  • Error codes related to water issues

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Will not drain

Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Defective dishwasher water intake pump.   Jim J. • Lorraine , KS • July 10, 2020

Only two screws hold the mount of the pump in the lower left near the floor. Easy access by removing the front covers then remove the two mounting screws to the pump assy. Then remove the intake and output hoses. I noticed on the new pump a male hose bib on the intake. Supplied with the dishwasher was the smooth intake water tube. Best to not reuse this supplied hose. It just won't clamp tight enough for a good seal. Cut a portion from a garden hose the same size as the intake valve bib... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The hot water was slow to fill on new ge washer in addition the warm water fill was cold   Bruce M. • Auxvasse , MO • June 15, 2015

The new GE washers come with a fill valve that has a 1/8" hole for the hot water inlet. This is probably for energy savings or something. So, I installed the older style GE fill valve on my new machine. Since the older style has larger inlet holes for both hot and cold water, it fixed my problem easily. NOTE: The outlet nipple on the new style GE fill valves are larger than the older style. Therefore, I had to make a coupling piece to attach the older style GE valve outlet nipple to the... • Works as part of the washer's water sensing system—does not include electronic switches or housings unless shown.
What's included: One dome float (single replacement float). Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before starting any repair.
