Fix no ice or water dispenser issues with this refrigerator water inlet valve. Controls water flow to ice maker and dispenser. Moderate DIY repair.
The tech sheet test 56 said the motor wouldn't return to zero. I ordered the "Ice Maker Assy-Lp, and the Valve Assy-Water Dual". On my particular model the ice maker is in the ceiling of the refrigerator box. After removing the water filter and two screws around the drop down water filter door, the right side panel drops down by pulling it apart from 3 plastic pop-ins. Two of them broke when the repair guy man handled it. Pulling easy and supporting the inside pieces is key. Then I unplugged... Read more

Dishwasher not washing or leaking from bottom? This pump and motor assembly circulates water during wash cycles. DIY-friendly, installs in 30 minutes.
I think I could have just replaced the pump, but I chose to replace the whole assembly. The part is more expensive, but all the gaskets, etc, that come with it are new and that made sense to change all at once. I was able to change this in about 30 minutes, without removing the washer from the under-counter space. I did remove the front door panel, but in retrospect that was unnecessary and probably cost me more time than it saved. Empty the washer of parts, remove the front access panel.... Read more

Replacement right adjuster housing for dishwasher upper rack. Holds and supports the right side height adjustment mechanism. Replace if cracked or worn.
I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. The repair was fairly simple, but it still took about 45 minutes because I didn't want to crack the assemblies. For the housing, use a small slotted screwdriver to carefully... Read more
