I changed out the white burners for black ones which will be easier to clean. This is a simple matter of removing two screws on each burner. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire. Flip the burner facing down. Take out the seven screws that hold together the housing and the slip off the housing. Disconnect the igniter leads. I replaced the Igniter switch, two control valves and one holder/orifice (because I couldn't get the screws out and decided to just replace it rather than re-tape it and get new screws). The one thing I forgot was I have propane and the orifice was for natural gas. Fortunately, I was able to swap out the orifice from the old holder. Read more
