Started off by replacing the water lines and valve, purchased from the same site. Thought I'd cured the problem, but no. Next step was to replace the icemaker, which is incredibly simple. Undo 2 screws, pop out the clips give the wiring harness a good tug and the whole lot comes out. Reverse the process to install the new one. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. This assembly includes the auger motor that rotates to push ice from the ice bucket through the dispenser chute. The motor drives the auger blade, breaking up clumped ice and moving it toward the dispenser opening when you press the ice lever or button. Replace this assembly if ice is not dispensing, you hear the motor humming but the auger isn't turning, or the ice maker is no longer producing or delivering ice.
