No instructions are included with either piece, which makes installation take more time and care. Tools needed: Small standard flat blade screwdriver, box knife or other knife with at least a 2" long blade, super glue. Remove the old main crisper frame: 1. Remove old main frame by lifting upward and outward. 2. Remove the center rail from the frame. May require bending of the main frame to remove it. 3. Easy to replace with the shield and paddle assembly. Steps are: 1. use a flat head screwdriver to push the tabs at the base of the control panel. remove the wire connectors by gently prying them straight off. 2. remove the 4 phillips screws holding in the old assembly. 3. Install the new assembly by carefully putting the paddle behind the water pipe that sticks out. You may have to push the paddle one way to get it around the pipe and then back into place. 4. reinstall the screws. 5. reconnect... Read more

The manual had instructions for pulling things apart, the flaps over the drawer tops and the clear plastic inserts in the shelf. Flaps--Easiest to work with when the shelf is out and upside down. Slide flaps to the side a little to release the axle pin on the flaps from the receptacle hole on the shelf frame. Clear plastic plates are held in with a plastic pin on the side of the shelf frame. Carefully pull the side off the shelf there away from the pin slot until the insert pops out.... Read more

Right-side gasket replacement was straightforward. Left side required removal of mullion, which stumped me. I contacted Appliance Parts Pros who gave me the necessary instructions: Remove the center screw and lift up the mullion. Simple enough, once I knew how to do it. Read more
