Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). I ordered a replacement part. Emptied the top shelf then took the shelf out. Flipped the shelf over and removed the screw holding the broken piece. Put the new piece in its place replaced screw. Put the shelf back in and then put the mean pan back on the hangers. Read more

Removed freezer door by removing 4 bolts holding slide tracks for freezer basket. Pulled out old gasket. Soaked new gasket in hot water to smooth out a crease that resulted from shipping. Installed new gasket, starting at corners. Used a blunt tool to push new gasket into slot at the corners. Set remaining gasket material with hands. Condenser was encased in solid block of ice due to automatic defrost not working. Replaced thermostat and ADC control board. Working fine now. Most tedious part was using a heat gun to melt all the ice off the condenser coils. You will need a couple small wire nuts to splice the new thermostat into the existing harness (they are not included). Service tech wanted over $400 to repair, fixed it myself for half that. Thanks !
