Unplug range. Open oven door to gain access to the cook top lock-down screws, located under the front edge of the cook top. Tip the cook top up and carefully remove it by pulling forward. Set aside in a safe place. Remove old, burned-out, element by removing the single lock tab, located on one of the three mounting posts, then lift up. Leave the wiring attached. I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron. While checking continuity with a voltmeter, i questioned one of them behind the control panel and the one above the magnetron. • Won't start

I purchased a new igniter for the bake assembly and found that it, unfortunately, did not resolve my problem. I measured the resistance of the different points on the gas valve and it was reading within spec so I then purchased this spark module and it did the trick. My gas range is a Kitchenaid kgsk901sss02. Removed the bottom tin work in the oven and removed the burner tube. Tried to remove the igniter bracket but the screws were too tight for the Phillips head and couldn't get vice grips to clamp on the head, so I bent the bracket enough to remove and replace the igniter. Then reassembled. I give AppliancePros.com a 5 star rating. Replaced the element. 1st- Turn off the power to the appliance. The cook top is held on with two screws - access the screws by opening the oven door. Cooktop is hinged, so just pull up near oven door and hold in place with, say, a three foot long stick. The elements are held in place by bracket attached to the cooktop. No tools necessary. Simply pull the old gasket free and install new one using the small metal clips in the gasket. Took less than five minutes. Easy. Read more

Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. May need a pliers. (I did not want to just pull the element and the wires into the oven with the element and remove them there, like a technician would do. After 15... Read more

Separated oven door by removing screws. Inserted handle and secured with clips, and reassembledo door with screws provided. In served broiler handle and snappedal into place. Read more

• Noisy

I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. Had to pull double oven and range top out from wall which involved removing the upper kitchen cabinet. Took the sheet metal off the back and had the socket swapped out in a couple of minutes. My old oven works like a charm! Read more
