Ordered numerous replacement parts. Started with the tracks which required pulling the washer out of the cabinet to reach the screws. Pushed it back in and re-secured. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. Ordered the parts and followed the instruction videos that Sears provide, Initially tried to order parts from Sears directly but the web-page kept complaining about my shipping address. Their loss- no wonder they're going out of business. Also, should note that the original assembly was plastic but the replacement was metal. Sure sign of a crappy cost-cutting decision. Disassembled. Diagnosed problem. Chopper assembly welded in place by water scale -broke removing. Potty mouth. Ordered parts. Waited for parts. Washed dishes by hand. Wife doing ok. Removed the bottom rack from the dishwasher. Removed the 2 front plates at bottom of the dishwasher. Removed the two screws from the top of the dishwasher holding the dishwasher to the counter-top. Pulled the dishwasher out. Removed the 8 mm screws from the outside of the dishwasher-- 4 per side (Underneath the sound proofing). Pulled the old tracks and placed the new tracks into place and tightened the screws back up. Pushed the dishwasher back into place. Reinstalled the screws securing... Read more

I ordered a new lower wash rack retainer and installed it myself. Takes about 30 seconds to install. Very easy and no tools required. The part was ordered and arrived two days later from Appliance PartsPros. Very easy job to complete and saved a lot of money over the cost of having to call a repair man and pay a service charge.Just make o note of the position the old part is in and remove and insert the new part. There was nothing to fixing the basket; I threw out the old one put in the new. The retainer took about 30 seconds of me figuring out how to attach it. (There had never been one since we bought the house, so it was a bit of trial and error for me.) Read more
