Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines. Read more

I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. All of the repairs were incredibly easy, however the experience might be different for everyone. My skills and background experience make troubleshooting and repairing fairly easy for me. Part was updated from original equipment (3 pieces) to a one piece tube. Snip the top of hanger loop then install. Just a couple minute job. Updated tube is much better than the original design. Read more

Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. Replaced control board. This project took about 45 minutes to complete. It helps if you have two people because at one point you need to squeeze 4 plastic clips. Also helps when switching wire from one board to the other. I am 71 years old and this was a very easy task. Read more
