Had to replace the auger. The auger on my ice maker was made of plastic and had broken pieces off it. The new one is made of metal and seems to work much better. Was a fairly simple repair. However pay close attention when disassembling, I recommend using your cell phone and snap a pic of the different stages as I became a little confused when putting it back together. I ordered a large sized bin and bin frame for the refrigerator. The hardest part of ordering the 2 parts was trying to figure out the right bin and frame to order. I ordered the replacement gasket and...replaced it. One issue was that the replacement procedure was not at all like the video to which I was directed when I got the gasket. The video showed a gasket with a rigid flange that had to be inserted into the door structure. On my Amana, I clearly had to remove the inner plastic liner and set the gasket under it. This website had some information about how to access the thermostat in the freezer compartment. Along with some other Google videos I found. I got some good tips on what to do about the block of ice and how simple it was to replace the thermostat. The damper control didn't have much information on it but it's really not that hard at all.
