• Will not dispense detergent

I found the videos on dishwasher repair that AppliancePartsPros offers and determined the likely cause of the problem. I removed the door cover and found soap caked on the back. I cleaned the cover and switched the wax motors to see if the clean rinse motor was good and ran a tested cycle. No improvement. I ordered two new wax motors for the Maytag dishwasher and those arrived in a few days from AppliancePartsPros. I replaced the old motors and ran a test cycle. The soap tray opened correctly.... Removed screws from sides pieces into the cabinets, then pulled out washer several inches. Found one of the springs had stretched and the door cable had broken at the hook. Replaced both items and pushed washer back in. It was a little tricky to get washer back into the same position. Found that the water connection was rigid copper pipe and now was leaking at the fitting into the washer. Turned off water, removed kick plate, removed nut at flare joint and retightened. I cleaned all the jet nozzles with a toothpick and a pipe cleaner to remove the hard water deposits. I then replace the ring bearing under the bottom spray wand and the ring bearing under the upper spray wand. I also replaced the smaller radial ring bearing. Although none of them looked overly worn, it doesn't take much to cause the spray wands to spray inadequately. Then, I replaced the float and washer assembly. I removed the basket, studied the old adjusters before removing them, and installed the new ones using some of the old parts(adjustment levers and the covers). adjusters work like a charm.. the only tool required was a screwdriver with removable torque bit. Read more

Fortunately everything snapped on except one part. I've reordered the right part. BTW Appliance Parts Pros is absolutely the best place to source parts. Most places just don't seem to stock anything. I've never had a problem with this company. In fact, the parts are usually at our door in 2-3 days. Never ever thought I'd enjoy ordering appliance parts. Our dishes were getting mostly clean but we started finding really fine food particles inside cups/bowls (especially our tall travel mugs). Very long story short, the rubber flapper valve in the adapter assembly had warped and was no longer closing, so dirty water was remaining in the tub during the rinse cycle. I may just buy an extra since it will probably fail again in a few years and I'll need to replace it again. Read more

• Leaking

I ordered a new rubber door seal for around door, new bottom door seal and spinner impeller and nut to hold on bottom arm as it looked weak. Everything worked great except bottom door seal which looks slightly different and would NOT stay on. I ended up putting back on the old one. Door doesnt leak but not sure it would even be worth it sending part back as I already tossed bag out. Other parts worked great and DW cleaning better. Read more

Ordered the parts which were received promptly. My wife and I tried to install some without much luck. Our adult daughter came for Thanksgiving and installed them perfectly in minutes. It's tough to get old. Very satisfied with service and would use again if needed. Read more
