Maytag Dishwasher Parts

Looked online, appeared to be door switch or control panel. Tried door switch first, a $30 part. Installed new door switch and washer started right up and appears to be fixed. Have not tried full wash cycle yet, but problem appears to be fixed. I decided to buy part from AppliancePartsPros.com because I could return the part if it did not correct the problem, no one else offered such a deal. Installed a new hose and coupler and now it works perfect again. Had to take the top off of the dishwasher, which was just a few screws and take the old hose out, install the new one and within an hour, my dishwasher was running again. I removed the basket, studied the old adjusters before removing them, and installed the new ones using some of the old parts(adjustment levers and the covers). adjusters work like a charm.. the only tool required was a screwdriver with removable torque bit. Read more

I cleaned all the jet nozzles with a toothpick and a pipe cleaner to remove the hard water deposits. I then replace the ring bearing under the bottom spray wand and the ring bearing under the upper spray wand. I also replaced the smaller radial ring bearing. Although none of them looked overly worn, it doesn't take much to cause the spray wands to spray inadequately. Then, I replaced the float and washer assembly. • Leaking

I ordered a new rubber door seal for around door, new bottom door seal and spinner impeller and nut to hold on bottom arm as it looked weak. Everything worked great except bottom door seal which looks slightly different and would NOT stay on. I ended up putting back on the old one. Door doesnt leak but not sure it would even be worth it sending part back as I already tossed bag out. Other parts worked great and DW cleaning better. Read more

This is a 12 year old Kenmore, but my experience applies to many dishwashers. The machine had run for almost a year without being cleaned.
