I took the tumbler drum out and looked at the pulley and it was not rotating freely. The idler arm had some wear on the attached post so I replaced bothe parts. Since I was in there already I replaced the drum rollers and dryer belt for good measure. I reassembled the dryer and it works great. The best part of the experience was the parts order. Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. This assembly includes the housing and door that enclose the lint screen filter compartment on the top or front of the dryer. It provides access to the lint filter for cleaning and keeps the filter securely in place during operation. Replace this part if the door is cracked, broken, won't stay closed, or if the housing is damaged and no longer holds the lint screen properly.
Open dryer door. Remove four Phillip head screws that hold lint assembly together. Two inside and two on the outside. There is also a hex head screw behind the front panel. To get at it I removed the four hex heads at bottom of front panel and four star head screws on left side of front panel. I was able to get at it by pulling the front panel out as much as possible and and reaching from the side with small quarter inch socket. This is a 60 Hz timer that controls the duration of drying cycles in a clothes dryer. It advances through each stage of the cycle and signals the motor and heating components to turn on or off at the appropriate times. Replace this timer if the dryer will not start, the cycle does not advance, the timer knob spins freely without clicking, or if the dryer runs continuously without shutting off.
