Tested the High Voltage Capacitor which showing no capacitance and no resistance. Replaced it together with the diode and the line fuse no longer blew and the microwave is back in service. Read more

I took the machine screws out of the outer panel for the right side only. Then pull the panel back a bit to release the lips from the front of the machine and had immediate access to the internal assembly that housed mounting nut. I checked for the reasons there was no power to the microwave. Then I talked with the technician at AppliancePartsPros who stated that it was most likely a blown or defective fuse. My LG microwave has two thermal fuses, a fuse assembly with two prongs and a short (1 inch) barrel type fuse. I remove the burnt melted rack holder and replaced it with the new one I ordered. I watched the how to repair on YouTube and was able to remove it with a pair of pliers and install the new rack holder. It was very easy to install. Read more

We isolated the problem via YouTube videos to a faulty switch. We broke a piece of the switch holder when removing the switch and had to also order that part in addition to a new switch. Once everything was reassembled, the microwave worked again! Read more
