I used a putty knife to remove the black plastic cover on the inside of the door to expose the screws to the handle. Then using a Phillips screw driver, I removed the top and bottom screws to remove the handle. The bottom screw was stripped so I had to us a pair of pliers to grip the broken plastic handle to remove the screw. Replaced handle and tightened screws, snapped ring back in place. I contacted Appliance Parts Pros, and told them what the problem was and what it was doing. They sent me an email with the parts number needed to complete the repair. The replacement lamp fit perfectly. I had tried other replacement lamps from the hardware store but wasn't able to find one that would fit. The lamp socket on the microwave was slightly smaller than a standard bulb. Read more

It wasn't easy because this microwave over-the-stove light was difficult to find at a reasonable price. However, I did find one at AppliancePartsPros.com. Since the price was so reasonable, I bought 4 bulbs plus an interior light bulb and paid the same shipping price for all. Everything works great. Read more

I Googled the problem and found troubleshooting that stated. "If the table spins freely that the motor was bad. I ordered the part and within 20 minutes it was fixed. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the microwave out of the wall. Read more

I replaced the motor by removing 5 screws from the bottom of the microwave and 1 screws from the motor. Very easy to replace, I didn't even have to remove it from the wall (I unplugged it just in case). Read more

This is a 25 year old built-in over-the-range appliance. Only previous problem was 1 failed door switch (of 3 total), replaced 2 years ago. First checked all 3 door switches with continuity tester, all ok. Had advice to check thermostat switches, which were all supposedly NC (normally closed), used same tester. I took the plastic vent piece off the front of the microwave & removed the charcoal filter & put the new one in. Made sure that while I had it open I cleaned all the built up grease out of it before closing it back up. Took the 2 grease filters from underneath the microwave & replaced with the new ones. Tested the High Voltage Capacitor which showing no capacitance and no resistance. Replaced it together with the diode and the line fuse no longer blew and the microwave is back in service. Read more

This damper was added to the outside vent duct line as an additional block against outside air intrusion. Under spousal orders I had just changed the microwave vent to the outside (the proper way to go, but much more difficult to accomplish) but then there was some "flowback" when the wind was pressing against the back of the house (westward facing), and I was ordered to reduce this flow before the winter arrived in full force. Looked online and found that someone had experienced the same issue and had replaced the cooling fan assembly for the magnetron. I ordered the parts for the assembly (motor, fan, and support), and replaced them and this fixed the problem. It took about 10 minutes to replace the parts, but lowering the unit and disassembly took around 45 minutes. Had to take apart the microwave door per the appliance parts pro video to replace the handle. Be careful when removing the door liner and opening the inner and outer door. Too about an hour after watching the video several times during the disassembly process.
