I looked up the problem on the Appliance Pros forum and it sounded like the magnetron needed to be replaced. We looked up and ordered the part from Appliance Pros and replaced the magnetron 2 days later when we received it. It was not a difficult replacement but was tume consuming to take it down and remove the cover to get to the part. Within about 90 minutes, we had our microwave back on duty! Read more

I went online to specifically check for resolution to problem. I found out the most common problem was a bad magnetron and diode. I then watched a couple youtube videos on the repair process. I entered model # of microwave at the Appliance Parts Pros website and was able to order exact parts. The APP site had excellent schematics for exact location of parts in microwave. 3 screws on inside edge of door, then pried it off gently. Removed and cleaned the glass and put it in the new door frame. Put the new frame on the door. Read more

I replaced the keypad entry and it fixed the problem for 24 hours, but then it beeped and entered 0. But is much better than it was. I am an electronics tech and I know through the yrs 2000-2010 there were a rash of bad capacitors produced. I now believe a second board which has these capacitors is the source of the problem. I also believe the second board let voltage spikes through which slowly damaged the keypad board. My goal is to order the capacitors which cost less than a $1 each... Read more

The grill vent is only held in place by two screws. Super simple fix. Remove the two screws and the old grill vent, position the new vent and put the two screws back in. Replacing the cord required that cabinet to be removed. Lots of screws on the back, top and bottom. Once the screws were removed, the cabinet pulled back. I opened up the microwave where the noise was coming from. I searched the web to confirm this part could be failing and found the part name and number on appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the part on Monday and it was in my mailbox 2 days later. Two screws and two wire connectors later and the old one was out. I installed the replacement part and everything worked great, no more grinding noise. Read more

As described, thanks your helped repair what the repairman would not or could not do.. Bottom element shorted and burned up from previous homeowner, not sure why or how? Replaced both heating elements, still no heat, the clock controller was also damaged due to the shorting even though it appeared to work OK, just no heat. Replaced clock/controller , both elements and the temp sensor .ALL WORKING !!! Lots of scrubbing and now have a "new" oven.! Half the cost of the serviceman, Saved my oven... Read more

Replaced the magnetron and high voltage capacitor. I tried replacing only the diode (rectifier) first with no luck. I hope this is helpful. Read more
