I took the advice of another buyer and replaced the magnetron, capacitor, and diode from my microwave (make sure you discharge the capacitor). As described, thanks your helped repair what the repairman would not or could not do.. Bottom element shorted and burned up from previous homeowner, not sure why or how? Replaced both heating elements, still no heat, the clock controller was also damaged due to the shorting even though it appeared to work OK, just no heat. Replaced clock/controller , both elements and the temp sensor .ALL WORKING !!! Lots of scrubbing and now have a "new" oven.! Half the cost of the serviceman, Saved my oven... Read more

Removed microwave from the built in cabinet (probably the hardest part) and took off top cover (screws on side and back). Had previously blown the power fuse 2 times in this microwave, so I checked the fuse first using an ohmmeter. This time fuse was good. Traced the power wires around to top side of microwave and saw the overheat "therm" switch. Other than the indignity of having to buy a $28.00 bulb!! Installation required pulling the entire unit out of the wall and removing the sheet metal cabinet from around the microwave. All the fasteners were Phillips head screws except two, which were pin in Torx security type heads. REALLY? Requiring me to drive to Harbor Freight and spend an additional $6.00 for a 33 piece set to get the ONE size I needed. Buyer Beware!!! I took the bottom of the microwave off and removed the old holder. I then matched it to the correct part by model number and serial number. Then I installed the new part. Read more

Obtained the part from Appliance Parts Pros. It was on national back order but was shipped exactly at the time we were told it would be. The old frame was easy to take off by removing 5 set screws. The glass front from the old frame had to be removed. This was a little tricky since it was held in place by stationary clips. We then cleaned everything up, installed the glass front in the new frame and replaced the frame door using the original set screws. The installation took about 10... Read more
