I searched the web and it seemed that many people had a similar problem when gunk got on the waveguide plate/cover. When I removed the cover, one of the plastic latches broke so rather than just trying to clean the plate, I had to order a new one. Other than the indignity of having to buy a $28.00 bulb!! Installation required pulling the entire unit out of the wall and removing the sheet metal cabinet from around the microwave. All the fasteners were Phillips head screws except two, which were pin in Torx security type heads. REALLY? Requiring me to drive to Harbor Freight and spend an additional $6.00 for a 33 piece set to get the ONE size I needed. Buyer Beware!!! I replaced the keypad entry and it fixed the problem for 24 hours, but then it beeped and entered 0. But is much better than it was. I am an electronics tech and I know through the yrs 2000-2010 there were a rash of bad capacitors produced. I now believe a second board which has these capacitors is the source of the problem. I also believe the second board let voltage spikes through which slowly damaged the keypad board. My goal is to order the capacitors which cost less than a $1 each... Read more

My daughter that she turned timer on but hit cook with nothing in the microwave. I was able to figure it was one of the four thermal cutoffs. It was obvious which one literally fried. Replaced that one worked like it was new. Took a lot of photos while dismantling and labeled the screws. Wasn't that hard just be careful of the capacitor Read more

Last Saturday my microwave display stopped working. I pulled the unit out of the wall and tried to remove the display cover assembly but couldn't figure out how it was attached. I contacted AppliancePartsPros on their 24/7 live chat site and talked with Dustin, one of their customer support techs, about the possible remedies for my situation.
