As described, thanks your helped repair what the repairman would not or could not do.. Bottom element shorted and burned up from previous homeowner, not sure why or how? Replaced both heating elements, still no heat, the clock controller was also damaged due to the shorting even though it appeared to work OK, just no heat. Replaced clock/controller , both elements and the temp sensor .ALL WORKING !!! Lots of scrubbing and now have a "new" oven.! Half the cost of the serviceman, Saved my oven... Read more

Replaced the magnetron and high voltage capacitor. I tried replacing only the diode (rectifier) first with no luck. I hope this is helpful. Read more

Other than the indignity of having to buy a $28.00 bulb!! Installation required pulling the entire unit out of the wall and removing the sheet metal cabinet from around the microwave. All the fasteners were Phillips head screws except two, which were pin in Torx security type heads. REALLY? Requiring me to drive to Harbor Freight and spend an additional $6.00 for a 33 piece set to get the ONE size I needed. Buyer Beware!!! Last Saturday my microwave display stopped working. I pulled the unit out of the wall and tried to remove the display cover assembly but couldn't figure out how it was attached. I contacted AppliancePartsPros on their 24/7 live chat site and talked with Dustin, one of their customer support techs, about the possible remedies for my situation. Main Fuse did not open, only fuse for high voltage section was opened. Prior to the fuse blowing a louder than normal hum was heard from microwave for 1-2 seconds prior. Easy fix is the high voltage capacitor, so first checked the voltage across the capacitor terminals to ensure capacitor was discharged. Typically should be reasonably discharged within 30sec-1min assuming drain resistor is still in place. Removed the high voltage cap, and checked the capacitance and did not get a reading.... I searched the web and it seemed that many people had a similar problem when gunk got on the waveguide plate/cover. When I removed the cover, one of the plastic latches broke so rather than just trying to clean the plate, I had to order a new one. The new one arrived in just a couple of days, I put the plate on and at least for the last few days, no more arcing. <$10 fix for my over the stove microwave. Read more
