Microwave Parts

Screw, Tapping, Truss Head (Single)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 1TTG0402422

This is a truss-head tapping screw used to secure trim, panels, and small assemblies on compatible LG appliances. It provides a low-profile, wide-bearing head that helps hold parts flush and resist pull-through. What it does:

  • Fastens plastic and sheet-metal components where a self-tapping thread is needed
  • Truss head spreads load to prevent damage to soft or thin materials
  • Helps secure control panels, brackets, or trim pieces that require a low-profile head
  • Common replacement when original mounting screws are missing, stripped, or corroded
What's included:
  • One truss-head tapping screw
Install notes:
  • Use the correct screwdriver bit and moderate torque to avoid stripping the screw or workpiece
  • Start threading straight and let the screw form threads without forcing at an angle
  • Disconnect power and follow appliance-specific service safety procedures before working internally
  • Replace any damaged mating threads or clips for a secure fit

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Samsung MC1055BB micro blows fuse when press start   David D. • San Diego , CA • November 11, 2018

Downloaded service manual, got over my fear of getting shocked. Found Samsung put bleed resistors in capacitor, jumped with screwdriver to confirm as per service manual. Tested diode, found a large voltage drop with 9v battery. Capacitor test failed. Called into APP to confirm, got some great advice. Ordered cap and diode, arrived next day, installed and corrected problem. This micro has conv and is built into my motorhome, I had few options, none really, but to fix and no one wanted to... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Intermittently microwave wouldn't power up   Richard S. • Mcfarland , WI • August 22, 2015

Removed OTR microwave. Checked the thermostat switches while power was applied with a DVM. Noticed that when a certain set of wires was moved the slightest bit the microwave would power up. Traced the wires to the thermostat switch for the cavity. Noticed that where one (of two) Faston terminals was crimped to the thermostat switch was black. (should be copper colored). That is a sure sign of arcing from a loose connection. Since the specification for the switch was to trip at 248F degrees... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave wouldn't heat when you took item out after beep it was still cold! all other functions were fine   Jerad S. • Salem , IA • January 03, 2015

Removed unit from wall and took outer shell off, de-energized capacitor and then took a multi-meter and tested all the High voltage parts and magnetron. They tested out fine other than the diode and then I looked at the "Safety" circuit if you will the power loop that goes through door switches and thermostats to energize the High Voltage transformer and magnetron.
