The timer knob simply pulls off the shaft with a solid, steady pull. Cleaned the timer cavity of lint/dust buildup. Aligned the keying flat of the shaft and knob and pushed the new knob on with careful, steady pressure until it was obviously seated. No tools required other than a vacuum. I cleaned the cover and switched the wax motors to see if the clean rinse motor was good and ran a tested cycle. No improvement. The grommet was old and very caked with old dishwasher scum. So water was leaking through where the soap door latch goes into the door.
