This job was easy really only need a screwdriver to complete. After installing the board I found that some of the connectors on the board were upside down, so I pulled the board back out to compare with the old one. After comparing the boards some connectors were upside down but I noticed that the components on the board were also flipped as they were numbered the same. I installed the new board again and flipped the 3 cables and put everything back together. New board works great so far. Read more

Replaced the main controller with the same manufacturer's part for half the cost of the retailer doing it. Easy fix. Power unplugged, replace unit wire by wire to make sure of connections. Can be done without removing the top edge cover, but if you loosen the cook top and remove the top edge cover it gives you much better access.
