Tangential blower that moves air through the oven's ventilation and control areas to help keep components cool and vent heat. Replacing a failed blower restores airflow for quieter operation and more consistent cooling around electronics. What it does:
- Circulates air across the oven vent and control area to dissipate heat; symptoms of failure include little or no airflow.
- Helps cool control electronics and nearby components; failure can cause high temperatures or thermal-related shutdowns.
- Reduces noisy or rough fan operation when bearings or motor wear.
- Supports proper venting after use to help the appliance cool down safely.
What's included: One tangential blower assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before accessing or replacing the blower.
- Allow the appliance to cool fully; remove access panels to reach the blower.
- Handle the blower and connector gently to avoid damaging the motor shaft or wiring; ensure correct orientation when reinstalling.

F9 error code. Scott K. • Spokane , WA • February 14, 2021
Started getting F9 error code on a regular basis. Could tell one of the control panel cooling fans wasn’t working. Decided to replace both fans and the temp sensor that controls them. Everything works great and the airflow is stronger than ever!

The control console cooling fan was very noisy when the oven was on Keith K. • Plainville , MA • July 27, 2014
I ordered a replacement fan and removed the old one and installed the new one. The job took only an hour because I had replaced the cook top a few months ago and know how to remove most of the parts to get to the fan. The biggest tip I can give is not to force anything. You need to be gentle with dis-assembly and re-assembly.

Thermador built in mbes microwave turntable did not rotate Larry D. • Mission Viejo , CA • August 28, 2015
Went online, read the repair forums and the information Appliance Parts Pro provided and the repair was actually quite simple. Interesting is how Thermador bottom panel is not a tilt down as other manufacturers but rather has an ingenious cutout (that you actually make using a standard pair of side cutters) to gain access to the motor. Saved $120 service call + min 1 hour labor and of course the motor part fee they charge.

Part Number: 5304461119
This evaporator fan motor circulates cold air across the evaporator coil to keep the refrigerator and freezer compartments cold and balanced. Replacing a failing fan restores proper airflow and helps maintain set temperatures. What it does:
- Spins the evaporator fan blade to move air over the evaporator coil for even cooling
- Helps prevent ice build-up from poor airflow and uneven compartment temperatures
- Commonly needed when you hear a loud humming, rattling, or no airflow from the fridge section
- Supports defrost system performance by ensuring warm air is not trapped near the coil
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair
- Typically accessed by removing the evaporator cover inside the freezer compartment
- Handle wiring and connector clips carefully; ensure correct orientation of the fan blade before reassembly

This control cooling fan assembly circulates air through the oven's control compartment to remove heat. By keeping the console and electronics cool during and after cooking, it helps prevent overheating and protects sensitive components.
- Moves air across the control area to dissipate heat from the board, wiring, and trim
- Runs during/after bake or broil to maintain safe cabinet temperatures
- Typical failure signs: fan doesn't run, loud vibration/squeal, control area feels very hot, or heat-related shutdowns
- Purpose-built for the control compartment; distinct from the convection fan inside the oven cavity
What's included: 1 control cooling fan assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the appliance to cool; wear cut-resistant gloves
- Access is typically from the rear or top; remove panels/guards per your model's service information
- Transfer any required brackets or ducts; secure so the wheel spins freely with no rubbing
- Reconnect wiring as originally routed, keeping harnesses clear of the blade; test operation before reassembly

GE profile in wall oven gave F 9 code and would shut off after 30 minutes Matthew M. • Fairfield , CA • July 23, 2018
The F9 error code is supposed to indicate that the door lock mechanism has failed. My oven would give the F9 code and turn off during normal baking at 400 F after about 30-40 minutes. It turns out that GE must have programmed the error codes incorrectly in my model, because the real problem was that my control board cooling fan was no longer functional, and one of the two thermal switches was shutting off the unit when the control board area got too hot.
