After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. Turn off elec. Disconnect undercounter vent pipe . Raise range top a few inches and support
from below . Remove screws under edge of top using screw holes in new top as guide [not all
screws need to come out] .Remove two screws from center of lip of downdraft opening . Lift
off old top . Install new top in reverse order .

The harderst part for us was making sure we had the correct part number. Take out three small screws in the front. Then the stove top lifts like a hood on car. Remove 2 screws per row of elements. Then remove the broken top. Install new top. Reverse the previous steps to finish.
