Well it wasn't hard to replace at all pretty easy. But trying to figure out what the problem was that got me. I had to take the top panels off and two back panels off. Took off about thirty screws. It was very dirty and dusty inside so I took the lower panels off as well to clean and vacuum it. The hardest part was getting the double oven out of the cabinet. Overall it was very doable. Read more

Diagnosed the problem by seeing the lower fan was not turning. Didn't have any squeaks or sounds as a warning sign... It just stopped working. Went to AppliancePartsPros.com typed in my make & model number (Samsung NE58F9710WS). I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. The upper element in the top oven burned out. This was likely due to sugary food that had gotten on the element when the food was moved in/out of the element. The element was coated in crusty, burned food and the element was cracked in six or so places. The oven is a Maytag Gemini double oven range.
