This was easier then I made it. Originally took the actual ice maker out without removing the whole system from the door. There are 3 silver screws that do that hold the whole mechanism in place, as opposed to the 5 white screws that hold the ice maker in place. With the entire assembly out it was a matter of routing the ground wire, retaping the wires, and then the whole assembly went back into the door without a problem. The removal of the ice bin and auger motor was easy but removing the auger from the shaft was another story. The auger was frozen to the shaft even after it sat out overnight. I carefully applied heat with a propane torch, directly on joint of the auger and the tip of the shaft, followed by a few drops of cold water. Once the shaft and auger cooled the auger separated easily. Putting the components back together was simple taking about ten more minutes.
