Frigidaire professional refrigerator temperature control was erratic Richard P. • Sugar Land , TX • May 10, 2016
Purchased a new Control Board, as well as a new Thermister. Thermister was not absolutely necessary and could have been tested but it was simple enough to just replace during the control board replacement. Since it was a good time to replace the carbon air filter, I included that in the order too. Ordering the parts was very easy and completing the order the same. Parts arrived within a couple of days, which is good to know if you are depending on an appliance working. Impressed that...

Erratic cooling ice buildup in freezer Donald M. • Stover , MO • March 13, 2015
I replaced the Thermostat and Defrost Timer. It was a fairly easy repair other than removing the old Defrost Timer. The way the manufacturer, in this case, Amana, mounts that unit with "clips" is just poor design and engineering. It is virtually impossible to get the timer out without damaging the mounts. I had to do some creative rework to mount the new timer.
After 2 days, the fridge appears to be working properly with these new parts.
