• Fridge too warm

Using the model number of the frig, I located the part (Interface Dispenser Asm) on the AppliancePartsPros.com. After reading the Q&A section for hints on how to change the part and looking at a couple of YouTube videos, it seemed that I was up to the task. I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards. Read more

• Freezer not defrosting

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer. I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. • Freezer not defrosting

I took the bottom tray out of the freezer and found the coils iced up severely. I was reasonably sure the defrost timer was the problem and your tech said that was a good possibility. Ordered and replaced timer. (15 minutes) Problem fixed!!! Saved purchasing a new fridge at big bucks. We live over 40 miles from a service center so the cost of having a tech come out is astronomical. Thanks!!! Read more

Replace the inverter and pc board noticed the pc board had a bulging capacitor so replaced it while I was at it. Both were simple fixes. Taking less than 45 total. Read more

I called a local appliance service person, who diagnosed the problem as a bad main power board and offered to fix it for a substantial sum.
