Icemaker causing solid blocks of ice to form in the bin and down the walls of the freezer Lance B. • Gallatin , TN • April 10, 2017
The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. The excessive build up of ice caused the cube tray to crack and also split the little silicone water grommet that connects to the water delivery tube which directs water into the cube tray. Look out for that little tube...

Icemaker stopped working Patrick W. • Milwaukee , WI • September 10, 2016
After searching for information, the best guess was a defrost problem, so I first fully defrosted and reset the ice maker (this is the recommendation of Samsung and others on the net). This did not fix the problem.
Next best guess was water fill valve, but after removing ice maker from fridge, determined it had cubes in it but would not eject.
So, finally decided to order replacement ice maker. If you search the next for this model (DA97-13178A) there are instructions for removal of the ice...

Broken ice bucket Larry T. • Yuba City , CA • August 15, 2016
After doing research on broken ice bucket for an LG refrigerator on numerous sites I became totally confused on all the different #s that showed up. Contacted AppliancePartsPros. I was assured they had the part needed. Part arrived perfect match. Took more time removing part from shipping box than installing. Part I ordered is mostly plastic so all the bubble wrap made sure it wasn't broken in transient. If I need to order more parts this is the go to site. Larry

The ice maker was not dispensing ice needed a replacement ice bucket & auger assembly Vicki K. • Indialantic , FL • September 09, 2014
After searching for the ice bucket & auger assembly online, I found several websites that said they had the right replacement assembly for my refrigerator. I ordered one from another website first, but when it arrived it was not the right size-it was too big. The company told me to return the assembly but they didn't know if they had the assembly I needed. So...back to the internet to search again.
This time I came across AppliancePartsPros.com & searched on their website for the assembly. The...

Ice maker was not ejecting cubes. Would make ice but never flip completely over to spill them into the tray. Lorenzo Z. • Rutherfordton , NC • March 12, 2014
Replaced the entire ice making unit. It was a very simple project. The original ice maker is held in place by two screws at the front and some tabs in the back. Removing the screws allowed the unit to come free from the tabs and drop down. We simply released the wiring clip, removed the broken unit and reversed the process. The repair took about ten minutes and is something I have never done before. I am guessing we saved over $100 by ordering from AppliancePartsPros.com and doing the job...
