Ice maker woes David W. • Fairhaven , MA • April 25, 2017
I've been down this road before with built in ice makers. Doesn't matter the brand. If they go just replace it. Don't bother with a service technician bill to boot. Very simple plug in replacement. Start to finish 10 minutes.

The auger in the ice bucket assembly was broken David M. • Fullerton , CA • March 11, 2016
I replaced the old bucket assembly with the new one that I purchased. I believe that this bucket assembly for my LG refrigerator is not designed well by the manufacturer and I suspect that I will have to replace it with yet another one in the future. It is cheaper than replacing the whole refrigerator. I will not buy another LG appliance.
