Refrigerator Parts

I replaced the part by popping off the plastic frame and removing several easily-accessable screws. Three small electrical plugs had to be popped off too. It was a very simple repair. The Sears guy wanted $395 total for the repair, and I did it myself for the price of the part on this site (around $90). Very pleased! Read more

Looked for parts online that were worn and compared prices. Best price was appliance part pros. Ordered and received in 2 days and easily replaced worn parts. Read more

I went to Appliance Parts Pros and watched a few videos. Ordered the door closer plate and door hinge bearing. Removed all of the door bins and contents. Removed four screws total. Lifted the door off of the hinge, replace the two parts on the bottom hinge. Put the door back on the hinge with a little silicone on the new parts. Replaced all of the screws and no more popping. It took more time to clean all of the door bins than to fix the hinge. The video was 100% accurate. No surprises. Read more

Ordered the entire control panel. Took only 30 minutes to replace. Once I received the new part, it was obvious how easy it would be to replace. A thin putty knife and a little care not to damage the surrounding surface was all that was needed. Read more

Replaced both lower hinges and it did fix the problem. The only issue I had was when reinserting the water line. Because of the slight bend in the hose, it was catching at the end before exiting in the back. Hopefully I didn't tweak the line to cause any future issues. I did need pliers to pull one of the old hinges out. Read more

First, water and electricity don't mix, so make sure to unplug your refrigerator before beginning this repair - it shouldn't take more than an hour, so you shouldn't have to worry about spoilage. My water dispenser began making a hissing sound from the back of the fridge when you pressed the dispenser. • Won't start

I am a 76 year old woman and hesitated to tackle the job. But my son sent me a Utube video "how to replace the board," and I was able to replace it, surprisingly, quite easily. I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws.
