Part Number: WR09X30047
This temperature control is the thermostat that monitors refrigerator temps and cycles cooling components to maintain the selected setpoint. Replacing a faulty control helps restore consistent cooling and prevents temperature swings that risk food spoilage. What it does
- Senses interior temperature and sends signals to the compressor and fans to start or stop as needed.
- Regulates cycling to maintain the user-set temperature and prevent over- or under-cooling.
- Common symptom indicator: erratic temperatures, fridge running constantly, or compressor not cycling.
- Works as the control interface between the thermostat sensor and the cooling system components.
What's included Includes: One temperature control. Install notes
- Disconnect power to the appliance before attempting any service to avoid shock or damage.
- Handle electronic components and wiring gently; unplug connectors by the plug, not the wires.

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 240383703
This genuine OEM part is a temperature control thermostat for refrigerators. The temperature control thermostat is the part that regulates and adjusts the temperature settings of the refrigerator. If the refrigerator is no longer maintaining the desired temperature settings, not cooling, or otherwise not operating properly, it will need to be replaced. To replace this part, make sure the refrigerator is unplugged. After unplugging, proceed to open the refrigerator door and remove all the interior shelving. Once removed, proceed to unmount the screws that hold the interior panels in place. Once loosened, remove the panels to access the temperature control thermostat. After locating the part, unthread the mounting screws that secure the thermostat to its housing. After unthreading, pull the old thermostat out and remove the wire harness that it is attached to. Replace it with the new thermostat and proceed to reinstall the interior panels of the refrigerator. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand refrigerators.
