• Ice maker won't dispense ice

I read an article concerning the same problem and ordered the interior lever, but the real issue was that the plastic piece that activated the water flow was broken off the interior of the water dispenser cover assembly. I popped out the dispenser cover (it is on very snugly) and replaced it with a new one (again, it went back on but with some force needed). Knowing from a previous repair, that there was only 3 parts that could be bad. I decided if I was going to take it apart to change all 3. Not having the proper test equipment, it was cheaper to replace the 3 parts than pay a repair person. Read more

Removed the heater of course and installed the part. Very easy to do no need to remove the drum, just top cover, control panel, and front door assembly. Remove the one screw holding heater, remove blue wire, turn heater CCW to the 8 o'clock poisiton. Install in the reverse order. This is the secound one in a month if it fails again i'll just bypass it and install a 25 AMP fuse. Read more

Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more

Had to replace the (assembly lever dispenser; AW3) unit because the ice and water paddles could not be bought separately. Hold the touch screen child lock icon for at least three seconds until the lock indicates a locked position, this will allow you to disassemble and reassemble the electrical connections on the old and new dispenser without having to unplug or turn power off to the frig. Initially we discovered the LE code was due to water in the base due to the over flow. Of course my warranty was up and 1 month later the DW finally stopped with this error. We pulled out the DW and soaked up the water in the sensor on the right side base where it collects water. This got rid of the LE error code. Had to drill out the portion of the old foot that was still in the grate. Cleaned out the opening. Popped in the new one and voilà- all fixed. I ordered 8 of the feet as I see this eventually happening to all of them. Read more

I had cleaned the lint out of the dryer exhaust hose, that was usually the problem. But still no heat. Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. I ordered a complete ice maker from appliance parts after watching a few YouTube videos I was sure that I could replace the icemaker. Upon the arrival of the icemaker I removed two screws slid the icemaker out disconnected the wiring harness and replace the icemaker in less than five minutes.
