I found the assembly with heater element, thermostat, and the thermal fuse already assembled (cheaper than finding what part was bad and ordering that one part). unplugged dryer, pulled it out and removed the dryer exhaust tube, the top and front. The harness was a little short so I wasnt able to pull the whole heater assembly out before disconnecting. I took the machine screws out of the outer panel for the right side only. Then pull the panel back a bit to release the lips from the front of the machine and had immediate access to the internal assembly that housed mounting nut. Had to replace the (assembly lever dispenser; AW3) unit because the ice and water paddles could not be bought separately. Hold the touch screen child lock icon for at least three seconds until the lock indicates a locked position, this will allow you to disassemble and reassemble the electrical connections on the old and new dispenser without having to unplug or turn power off to the frig. • Shuts off too soon

Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel. Changed out the Fan. Oven turns all heaters on to quickly get to temperature - the sensor probe is next to the broil heater - it quickly senses the broil element heat and claims a false oven temperature and "reaches" set temperature at the sensor probe. Changing the fan causes the air to circulate during this time - so the entire oven heats up. The Fan is supposed run in Bake mode during heat up. Replaced broken drum spider and shaft assembly (part # AP4449265). Burning rubber smell was caused by spinning drum touches door boot seal. Also replaced all 4 shock absorbers just as a precaution. Replacing tub seal may not be absolutely necessary but it's cheap and easy. be aware of those razor sharp metal frames. Read more
