Removed the heater of course and installed the part. Very easy to do no need to remove the drum, just top cover, control panel, and front door assembly. Remove the one screw holding heater, remove blue wire, turn heater CCW to the 8 o'clock poisiton. Install in the reverse order. This is the secound one in a month if it fails again i'll just bypass it and install a 25 AMP fuse. Read more

I took the machine screws out of the outer panel for the right side only. Then pull the panel back a bit to release the lips from the front of the machine and had immediate access to the internal assembly that housed mounting nut. Had to drill out the portion of the old foot that was still in the grate. Cleaned out the opening. Popped in the new one and voilà- all fixed. I ordered 8 of the feet as I see this eventually happening to all of them. Read more

Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel. Replaced broken drum spider and shaft assembly (part # AP4449265). Burning rubber smell was caused by spinning drum touches door boot seal. Also replaced all 4 shock absorbers just as a precaution. Replacing tub seal may not be absolutely necessary but it's cheap and easy. be aware of those razor sharp metal frames. Read more
