Replace a broken starter assembly when your handheld equipment won't start or the pull cord won't retract. Direct-fit part restores easy starting.
This cutting head is designed for left-handed, gasoline-powered trimmers. The head contains eyelets for two sets of twine to effectively trim and edge. The assembly comes with a bump head knob so that twine can easily be increased. The knob and housing are made of extremely durable plastic that is at the same time responsive enough to respond to the user's call for additional twine. Typically, cutting assemblies work very well until a problem develops, at which time they stop working at all. Should it be necessary to replace a cutting head, the user should definitely make sure to use an OEM certified replacement. These are manufactured according to the same specification as the original. Users can replace the cutting hand by removing the cover of the trimmer's assembly. The old cutting head assembly should be able to be unscrewed. From this point, it is simply a reversal of the process, with the cover going over the new assembly and the assembly being reattached and covered. Several different manufacturers use this type of cutting head. Users will find it is compatible with MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Cub Cadet gasoline-powered trimmers.
